Here is written the bio of the infamous and rarely spotted stock guru Wihan! Fellow Scoopies have been speaking in hushed and huddled groups of his profound ability to find stock out of nowhere. Master of Midrand’s warehouse alchemy, he is always in-between the shelves organising stock or sorting container-after-container of incoming and out going products next to his bodyguard “Mr Lucky”. Wihan spends his weekends on his computer bashing and crashing through the World of Warcraft. This obsession is matched by his wacky love for Lipton Ice tea. Although Wihan has a great sense of humour, we wouldn’t dare touch either his cheese or coffee. These are the two things he simply cannot do without. All the way from the North West, Hartebeestpoort Dam, he reigns supreme alongside his long-time friend and fellow Scoopie Jannie who he has known since primary school. Dedicated as he is, you will find Wihan at Scoop before the sun comes up. Like the rest of our warehouse team Hipho enjoys soccer and is a proud Kaizer Chiefs supporter. He sees himself as a very friendly guy who makes friends very easily. Words like “no,” “can’t,” and “impossible,” are just not in his vocabulary, and when he hears others use them, it only increases his devotion to the task at hand. She describes herself as easy going and adventurous and we can see her happily, and courageously throwing caution to the wind to take advantage of any opportunity to try something new. With her degree from NWU in Recreation and Psychology she has a deep understanding of people and how to optimise every interaction. Our customers benefit from her dedication to building quality relationships and we in turn apprecaite the loyalty it creates between Scoop and our customers. Jacomien always takes other people's ideas and opinions into consideration, which she considers one of her best qualities. Fun fact (on a bit of a darker note) this lady fantasises about having the ability to hypnotize people for her own benefit. We suggest avoiding lingering eye contact as a measure of caution. Back on a lighter note, Jacomien loves having fun outdoors, enjoying the fresh air and scenery but can just as easily binge watch mystery clips and food channels on YouTube.

Initially amazed by the massive learning curve he was faced with when he first embraced his Scoopiness, Douglas now stands confidently in his acquired knowledge and eagerly grows his technical know-how every day. He has always enjoyed interacting with people and worked as a waiter fresh out of high-school while obtaining his private pilots license. He also acquired some electronic experience while practising his avionic trade. We are grateful to benefit from his decision to substitute aviation for the wonders of networking. He likes the devotion of Team Scoop and that he can count on this team to assist whenever a challenges arises. Outside of his weekly 8am-5pm graft, Douglas would choose to spend time with his family over anything else in this world. A close second, is to be in front of a braai, finding bliss in the flames and the charring of meat. Though no longer in aviation, we are happy to report that his success has certainly taken flight.

Growing up, Brayden was always interested in finding out how things worked. Today this childhood curiosity finds expression in his love for gadgets and all things technological. Scoop with its isle upon isle of warehouse shelving jam-packed with networking 'toys' holds a small piece of heaven for Brayden. Starting out as a bit of a noob in 2014, Brayden quickly rectified this by completing a number of certifications for Ubiquiti, Yeastar and Mikrotik. Also a prefect in his final year of school, we soon saw his natural leadership ability shine through in his day-to-day interaction with customers and team. Now manager of our Durban branch, Brayden leads his team with vision and confidence. He thrives on guiding his team to achieve both their personal and professional goals. He believes that every day offers a learning experience and that all individuals have a story that can teach us something new about life and this hugely diverse world we live in. Similar to Robert A Heinleins' character, Matt Dodson in the science fiction novel Space Cadet, Steven has had to conquer and succeeded in a number of challenges before being welcomed into the realm of executive management. He embodies our spirit of developing and promoting from within our team. Starting out at our counter in Midrand, Steven continued to push outside his comfort zone and was eventually responsible for opening our branch in Durban. Today as Chief Ops, Steven's passion for digital and mechanical tools has seen him improve our work environment in leaps and bounds. Many of our internal processes have had the benefit of his talent for creating uniformity and efficiency. With one foot planted firmly in reality, Steven has the ability to let his mind go to a place where dreams and ambition become a beautiful reality. While programming languages, frameworks, E-commerce engines and Microcontrollers all make him happy inside, his greatest passion is his family and he can not wait for the day he teaches his son how to fish. Some might think him a bit of a space cadet but in reality, he is simply in that space where visualisation happens in preparation for his next project.
